Just an FYI-
Lincoln didn’t abolish slavery by “winning the Civil War,” although that helped. He abolished slavery in the rebelling states in 1863, in the middle of the war, and, still before war’s end, twisted a lot of Congressional arms to secure approval of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which abolished slavery throughout the United States.
Anyway, let’s hope this Spielberg/Lincoln project does finally go forward!
