G.I. Joe Retaliation is the second instalment of the G.I. Joe film franchise but not everyone who has seen the film was particularly pleased. According to Robbie Collin, this sequel may even be shoddier than the first one.
G.I. Joe Retaliation stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, Joseph Mazzello, Walton Goggins, and Ray Park and its director is Jon Chu. Quite why the word ‘retaliation’ is in the title is anyone’s guess, but it does make it sound as if it will be rather exciting, which it certainly is not.
.Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the former WWE wrestler, in this film is Marvin Hinton, an elite and influential marine. Marvin, together with his squad known as “The Joes”, is sent off by the United States Government to different territories that uses political power to dole out impartiality and justice.
A single characteristically unfathomable progression in the film shows the Joe’s free-falling in a hemispherical canopy into Pakistan and unshackling a nuclear missile. In view of recent journey into North Korea is somewhat chilling.
The country plays a bigger role later on in the film when the US President, a tragic waste of Jonathan Pryce’s talents, advises and informs a Worker’s Grand Poobah that he intends to nuke and bomb his country. We then find out that he is not the genuine President after all, and is actually a concealed associate of a terrorist group known as Cobra.
In this film Adrianne Palicki, who plays Lady Jaye, clarifies and gives explanations as to why she connected with and thus became a part of the military. Whatever effort was put into this film is seemingly forgotten simply because of its dreadfulness, the film is not a fragment or a smidgen unreformed, just the same drivel as was churned out the first time, avoid if you can,
