Thanks to a series of movies, namely the Harry Potter series, the three main stars are recognised across the globe, oh, and they also happen to be richer than most of the people on the globe as well. When Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson walked in front of the cameras about 11 years ago after what had been an exhaustive casting process they were young fresh faces unknown by almost everyone.
But after 11 years and just into their 20s they have a long cinema career and have amassed fortunes that are estimated to be combined over £100 million. The one who has accumulated the most is Radcliffe, 22, as the teen wizard. According to sources the young actor has a net worth of close to £50 million that would place him in fifth place for millionaires in Britain under 30.
He had a bit of acting under his belt when he landed the role of Harry. He had appeared in a BBC1 adaptation of David Copperfield and he made his movie debut in The Tailor of Panama alongside the likes of Pierce Brosnan.
Just as with his co-stars the public has seen Radcliffe grow up in front of their eyes with each new wizardly adventure, and they have seen him take off in some uncharacteristic directions aside from his commitments with Potter.
For example, his nude role in London’s West End version of Equus and on Broadway in New York, while also appearing in a Broadway revival of the famed How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.
Next year will be his first screen role since the end of the Potter films in The Woman In Black. He said this week all that goes along with fame and wealth are not for him. He decided to stop drinking alcohol after saying he was becoming reliant on it.
