Last House on the Left David Hess RIP

David Hess, the legendary horror movie actor, has sadly passed away. This will be sad news to the many horror fans out there who are fans of the Grindhouse star.

His Facebook page was recently updated with a note from his children that said, “our father was loved by his family and he was a friend to everyone, it is with great sadness that we have to announce his death. David died in his sleep last night. His movies and his fame lives on with his friends and his family and all of the devoted fans.”

His debut performance was in The Last House on the Left, the 1972 slasher film directed by Wes Craven. He was also known for his performance in Krug where he played a serial killer in a small town. As well as acting in last house on the left has was also known because he composed the film’s soundtrack.

Before his acting career he had a career in music during the 1950s and 1960s when he was a songwriter for such stars as Pat Boone and Elvis Presley.

During his acting career he also continued his musical interests, but fans will remember him for his horror movies. The movie The House on the Edge of the Park which she starred in was considered so brutal that the United Kingdom banned the movie and did not offer it classification. It was not until 2002 that the movie was finally released. He had recently been involved in the movie Smash Cut. He was 69.
